“Sowing in Crisis is the Place of Miracles”
Your Seed Must Be Planted
The laws of the harvest operate whether you understand them or not. If you understand and obey them, they will bless you with a harvest. If you don’t understand them, they will operate against you, leaving you in shortage instead of abundance.
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
Galatians 6:7
". . . the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after its kind. . . ." Genesis 1:12
Written below are excerpts from Dr. Dave Martin’s message on giving in time of crisis from the Prosperity with a Purpose conference at City Church in October.
“It is not a time to shrink up and stop sowing. Crisis will distort your picture of prosperity. That’s why it is so important to sow in crisis.”
Five Reasons to sow in crisis:
-
Your sowing will birth expectation and hope. If you plant tomato seeds, you expect tomato plants. You expect a harvest. When you sow into the kingdom of God you can expect a harvest to come forth.
-
Expectation is the only magnet that attracts the miracle provision that God has promised. The devil doesn’t try to stop your giving; he tries to stop you from expecting anything in return. If he can steal your expectation, he can steal your harvest. Your return on the seed provides another seed to sow, and he will try to steal that seed by stealing your expectation.
-
If you refuse to sow, you just destroyed your own ability to expect a miracle. A farmer can only expect a harvest after he has planted a seed.
-
Nothing is going to change for you financially until you unleash expectation within you.
-
Your crisis always magnifies the size of your seed in the eyes of God. Your seed will increase in influence with God because of the situation you are in. That’s why it is important that you plant seed when you are facing times of crisis. It is magnified because of the faith that it took to sow the seed. Don’t hoard in times of crisis. Sow during times of famine.
You may not be able to give as much this year, but God can multiply it even more because of your faith.
God bless,
