Another New Business Opens

By Scott Sneer

Another Subway Sandwich shop has opened off Mill Plain Blvd. in Vancouver, and there’s another Morton name behind it! This time it’s Robert and Cheryl Morton, whose interest was sparked by Fred Morton’s (Robert’s brother) success in the Subway franchise. The new store is now in the full swing of sub-making, operating seven days a week.

Robert credits his wife Cheryl’s optimism and God’s provision for the successful opening. Robert is not a stranger to operating a business. He also maintains a second business as a painting contractor. He says, “the ladder keeps getting taller,” and is hopeful that he’ll only need to paint for one more season, before putting all his efforts into the new store. With business steadily picking up, his goal should be attainable.

Robert and Cheryl are believing for a second store in the future and more opportunities to financially bless organizations such as Crisis Pregnancy Center and Pro-Life. They also look to the future to have more time actively participating in outreach ministries.

Robert also insists that a special thanks go out to contractor Tim Botler for a “job well done.” Congratulations Robert and Cheryl! May God richly bless you.
